Gifted Education Portfolio

As a student at High Point University, I am engaged in a unique AIG Licensure program. The AIG Licensure program is an add-on program requiring four courses (12 credit hours) which addresses the specific needs and characteristics of the gifted, trends and issues in gifted education, and strategies for differentiating instruction for accelerated learners. After the program, I will be eligible for academically gifted licensure (K-12).

Throughout the course, I participated in a number of projects and practicum observations in order to understand students categorized as AIG. The following links will show you a collection of work from my experience:

AIG Assessment Profile
A comparative analysis of five gifted identification assessments.

AIG Curriculum Model Comparison
A comparative analysis of the ten gifted curriculum models in our assigned text, Education of the Gifted and Talented.

AIG Student Analyses

An academic and behavioral analysis of three gifted students across elementary, middle, and high school.

AIG Lesson Plan Portfolio
A collection of nine AIG lesson plans (grades K-9) using different types of lesson plan formats.
